Dreamscape

A Poem

Photo by Dominik Schröder on Unsplash

Tufted on the clouds I walk aimlessly but no forest awaits Only space and time and the infinite void of this dreamscape

Inside of a box with no way out I don’t struggle or fight at all I just sit there, resigned to my fate

Floating out to sea at peace, but expecting the worst I don’t taste the saltwater, just my own fear metallic in my mouth and then I go under

Heart beating as the chase is coming for me Idle time I no longer have as I climb the stairs and open the door and pry open the hatch and hide in this spot forever
