Summary

Three young dragons, Pixy, Marinda, and Dixy, go to the park and learn the importance of sticking together after Pixy strays and gets into trouble.

Abstract

In the children's bedtime story "Dragon Stories," three young dragons named Pixy, Marinda, and Dixy are granted permission by their mother to visit a nearby park with the caution to stay together and return before dark. Pixy, the fastest and most independent of the three, disregards his mother's advice and ventures off on his own, climbing a tall tower. Overwhelmed by fear at the top, he realizes the importance of his siblings' company and wishes he had not strayed. After calling for help and with his siblings' efforts, a rescue dragon helps bring Pixy down. The dragons return home with Pixy acknowledging the value of unity and promising to always stay with his siblings.

The little dragons loved to play outside. One day while mama was busy giving Dennis (baby dragon) a bath the 3 other little dragons asked her if they could go outside and visit the park nearby. Well, at first Mama was a bit reluctant but after thinking she said

you can go but stick together and be back before dark.

They all got very excited and started jumping towards the park together. Boing boing the 3 dragons jumped together. Pixy was the fastest he was jumping farther away from the other two. Marinda reminded him, they had to stay together but he did not seem to care. Soon they reached the park. Dixy and Marinda stayed together while Pixy was on his own, he even went on the big boy's swings. He always thought he was too grown up to be with his little sibling.

Off he went out of their sight climbing a huge tower but when he reached the top and looked down, oh lord he got so terrified that smoke came out of his nose, he felt really bad and tears rolled down his cheek. He wished he had stayed with his siblings. Sad and upset he called for help but no one was around. Meanwhile, Dixy and Marinda were looking for Him. A couple of hours past and just when it was about to get dark Marinda spotted Pixy on the tall tower. Dixy and Marinda looked for help and got a rescue dragon to get Pixy down. Finally, they went home together and pixy promised to always stay with his siblings.
