Don’t Tell Yourself You Have Writer’s Block
When you think you can’t do something, you’re usually right. But if you are convinced that you can do something, you are just as correct.
Self-confidence grows out of a sense of achievement. When writing, self-esteem suffers whenever we freeze in front of a blank page.
A lack of self-confidence then only makes it more difficult on the next attempt.
This vicious circle often turns into a full-blown writer’s block.
But the first rule of writer’s block is: Don’t talk about writer’s block. Above all, don’t talk to yourself about it. Your inner monologue is yours. So use it to your advantage.
How you can get back the necessary confidence in your abilities, you can read in my article The Magic Box Against Writer’s Block.
