Summary

The article satirically critiques President Biden's call for 100 million Covid vaccine shots by suggesting he's hoarding vaccines, which could lead to a shortage for others.

Abstract

In a satirical take on President Biden's goal to administer 100 million Covid vaccine shots within his first 100 days in office, the author humorously questions the necessity and fairness of such a plan. The article, while acknowledging the president's high-risk status due to his age, points out that Biden has already received his vaccinations, and the excess shots could be seen as hoarding, potentially exacerbating vaccine shortages. It emphasizes that the vaccine regimen typically requires only two doses for effectiveness, implying that seeking additional shots would be both unnecessary and unsafe. The piece concludes by urging the president to consider the broader implications of his actions and to ensure equitable vaccine distribution.

Opinions

  • The author suggests that President Biden's push for 100 million vaccine doses is excessive, given that he has already been vaccinated and the standard vaccine course consists of two shots.
  • There is an underlying concern that Biden's actions could lead to a disproportionate allocation of vaccines, leaving fewer doses available for the general public.
  • The article implies that the president's advanced age places him at higher risk, but this does not justify what is perceived as an attempt to secure an unusually high

3 Reasons He Should Share

I just read a detailed news article on how Biden wants 100 million Covid vaccine shots in 100 days.

Okay. I may be exaggerating. But I did see it on Twitter. Or maybe it was Buzzfeed? Either way, I pretty much got the gist. That was more than enough to get angry.

Look. I get it. He’s the President. He needs to stay healthy. At 78, he’s also in a high-risk group for the virus.

But listen, Joe. Can I call you, Joe? Oops. Sorry. Listen, Mr. President.

  1. You’ve already taken the vaccine.
  2. Sure. Most of the vaccines require more than one shot. But even they only need two.
  3. Taking 999,998 additional shots won’t make you less likely to catch the virus. They say the vaccine is safe, but I’d bet that many shots would still kill you.

This is a scary time for all of us. But setting the risk aside, one man hoarding that many vaccines only shortens the supply for the rest of the country.

You had your shot. So to speak. Leave some for the rest of us.
