Do You Remember Kindergarten?

Everyone on the playground was your friend.

I feel the same way about Illumination. The people have been generous with their claps and supportive words. I have new friends to play with again who can teach me all the new games.

There is another group I meet with every Monday night on Zoom called the Ninja Writers where we workshop our Medium stories before publishing. We laugh. We cry some. We confide in each other. We pull each other out of emotional holes. We tell each other when our underpants are showing. That’s what a true friend does. Then we giggle about it all and share some more. Lots of good story ideas come out of these sessions.

I’ve been telling my friends about Illumination and I promised an introduction.

Debbie Walker helped me edit my first story to be curated. Marilyn and Aikya are theologians with expertise in many areas. Punita writes with lyric eloquence about food and culture. Michelle is an explorer.
