Do You Have the Soul of a Rockstar? “La Casa Del Rock” Goes on Stage
In “A dream night” some historical musical instruments will return to play
If you have the soul of a rock star, this story is for you. “La casa del rock”, a house with over 45,000 memorabilia collected in 40 years, goes on stage for the first time. In “A dream night” his historic musical instruments will play again.
I’ve already written about “The House of Rock” on Medium. Now, this splendid initiative will become a show on an extraordinary evening.
THE SHOW
You will listen to the original sound of some of the 400 instruments accumulated. Amplifiers, guitars, basses, and drums will play thanks to some italian musicians. It is a super band formed by Paolo Bonfanti, Pino Scotto, Ronnie Jones, Rigo Righetti, and many others.
Freschi and a journalist will tell the story of these precious objects. Imagine inserting the jack of the Ibanez used by Steve Vai into Jimmy Page’s amplifier. You could have Sting’s Fender bass amplified by Judas Priest’s Acoustic. And also King Crimson’s drums.
You might have an artist playing the harmonica used by Roger Daltrey in Quadrophenia. The Simple Minds guitar could play inside the Oasis vox. The Iron Maiden Fender Stratocaster prototype could be inside Keith Richards’ ac30 vox.
THE COLLECTION
The vast collection of Mariano Freschi includes the “Rock On Stage” exhibition. There are over 400 historical objects: instruments, amplifiers, pedals, and effects. They have been on the most prestigious international stages. There are also various memorabilia of the greatest stars of rock music.
They include over 45 thousand pieces. Photographs, posters, tour books, picture discs, books, and magazines. The Piacenza collector has collected them for over 40 years of boundless passion.
“We want to talk to all fans about the wonderful galaxy of rock”, explains Mariano Freschi.
MADE IN ROCK
He is also the founder of “Made in Rock”. It’s a non-profit association that aims to promote and enhance rock music and its culture.
“A dream night” takes place 11 May at the Spirit De Milan, in Italy: the evening starts at 22.00 and admission is free.
