Diversity
Our Thinking Is The Problem

Like coffee is the essence of the eight beverages in the photo to the left, the spirit is the essence of every living being. No matter what makes us different, our essence is what makes us the same. Who we are, as well as who we may become, is due to what matters most, which is the spirit. Take the spirit out of the equation and life as we know it will cease to exist. The spirit is what makes us the same, as it’s our thinking-or a lack thereof-that makes us different.
It’s money that gives some people a false sense of superiority over others. But no matter how much wealth one may have, if they offered it all to prevent from dying, it would be to no avail. We need to stop focusing on our differences and start paying attention to what makes us the same. If we have life, then someday we must face death.
In-between life and death is something we like to call living. Living is supposed to consist of creating memorable moments with those we love and who love us. But there are some who live to make life miserable for others because as that old saying goes, “misery loves company.” Misery is the result of a person having a bad attitude, being selfish, and lacking self-love. The lack of self-love makes it impossible for someone to genuinely love someone else, so how the person feels is felt by everyone in his/her presence. Instead of changing their ways, miserable people try to infect as many people as they can, creating conditions that produce all means of chaos and confusion.
The virus we all now face and fight should have been the wake-up call that no human is better than another. The said virus doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t care if we love or hate. It doesn’t care if we’re upper, middle, or lower class. It doesn’t care if we’re a man, a woman, or a child. It doesn’t care where or how we live. It doesn’t care if we drink coffee, tea, milk, or water. It doesn't care if we eat meat or if we’re a vegetarian or a vegan. It doesn’t care if we love dogs or cats. The said virus has only one mission, which is to eliminate all who underestimate its ability. I believe the said virus is a sign from the Universe that we better come together or continue to die apart.
It’s no accident that we were all placed in this space called Earth, this was by design, and so that we could make it heavenly. If we weren’t all meant to be together, don't you think each race could have been given their own planet?
Diversity is the spice of life, it gives flavor to living. If we were, all the same, would the days be interesting? Would we want to interact with others? Personally speaking, I’d really dislike knowing what others were thinking, as well as what was going to happen next. I love discovering new things, from thinking them to hearing the thoughts of others.
The breath of life is what makes us the same, our thinking (or lack thereof) is what makes us different. We need not think identical, as long as the result is the same. There are many routes to get to a destination, some may get us there quicker, others not so much but again, as long as we arrive where it is we all desire to be, everything else should be secondary. Money was never meant to do anything outside of making living life more enjoyable, everything else is a result of the ego. Interacting with others is what makes every second worth living, the discovering of different perspectives is how we evolve. I’d rather be in the midst of a multitude of adventurous people without a penny to my name than to be wealthy and sitting around a bunch of know-it-alls, who all know nothing.

Tamela Handie, a work of wonder with the wit to woo the world.
Our paths crossed not too long ago and shortly after the fact, a bond was established. The power of the written word is powerful indeed.
I incorporated her story into this one because I feel it’s a perfect fit, talking about being diverse, well, look no further than the lifestyle of this amazing being. I pray that all who read what she felt the need to write, will begin to show her some much-deserved love from this point forward. Keep shining, Tamela.
