Summary

A student has creatively adapted to distance learning by attending classes from the beach, combining relaxation with education.

Abstract

The article describes a unique approach to distance learning where a student relocates to the beach to attend classes. This young Italian has found a way to maintain his academic responsibilities while enjoying the seaside atmosphere in Emilia Romagna. He follows a full school day, including subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, science, history, and economics, all while lounging under an umbrella on the beach. The student finds this method of learning very "chill" and appreciates the opportunity to share his educational experience with others on the beach, including friends, adults, and grandparents. Despite the occasional distraction, such as the high cost of water at the beach bar, the student remains focused on his studies, especially enjoying science as his favorite subject due to an excellent professor. He maximizes his time by engaging in beach activities during breaks and looks forward to social evenings with friends after a day of learning.

A student explained to me how he organized his day to follow the teaching at a distance from the beach. He told me about it during this video stream on Twitch. He was already under the umbrella. I, instead, was live while I was walking my dog Jinnie as usual.

The young Italian went for a few days to his second home by the sea after having activated distance learning. It is in Emilia Romagna on the Adriatic. So he can follow the subjects by connecting with the class but keeping the screen off, of course.

His day’s schedule is to join friends on the beach immediately after classes are over.

The boy assures us that the experience is very “chill”. Among other things, this experiment allows him to share teaching with deckchair and umbrella mates, young people and adults, grandparents and friends.

Thus everyone can refresh their notions and review the subjects. The full school day, in this case, is as follows:

mathematics, physics, chemistry,

science, history, and economics.

The student is calm given the report card because he has all the marks above the pass. He doesn’t like these lessons very much, except for science. He opens up about this subject because the professor is very good.

So the young man positions himself on his sunbed, overlooking the sea. He can enjoy the waves, the sound of the water, and the roar and lapping of the shore. And in the meantime, listen to the lesson, as if it were a wonderful audiobook.

It is presumably one of the best experiences you can have: relaxing and learning at the same time.

For his part, the student is ready to take advantage of every break, the delays in lessons, the two daily recreations of ten minutes, and even the questions of his classmates, to go and play beach volleyball and beach tennis.

The only sore point seems to be the beach bar.

Simple natural water can cost two euros.

At the end of the day, the young man and his friends organize evenings. They go to drink in the local pubs or buy bottles and take them to the beach, between bonfires and bathrooms at midnight.
