Discover More Terrific Authors on Medium (Series 6)

Additional articles I enjoyed reading last month.

Image by Gerd Altmann from Pixabay | Text added by author

I’ve been busy updating several of my HubPages articles over the past few weeks and hadn’t had much time to spend on Medium. I always find it beneficial to keep old articles up to date since Google prefers maintained articles. Of course, that only applies to magazine-style content and not blog-style posts. But that’s where most of my pieces are monetized.

Nevertheless, I have kept up with reading on Medium and chose to share the following four authors’ articles with you.

Before I get into it, I wanted to let you know that Medium improved our about page, adding the ability to use the same edit features we have with Medium articles. If you missed that, you might want to take advantage of it to update your about page. You can do a lot with it now that was not possible previously. I took full advantage of it with mine.

Okay, so let’s take a look at this month’s recommended stories you’ve been waiting to see.

Sunday Reflections: 3.2 Mentions

By Graham Cooke

Graham’s poem reflects on the type of day all writers experience. He covered everything authors go through with their writing, and he did it in a poetic fashion. In addition, he lists many authors’ stories he had read. He sure keeps himself busy promoting others.

I Had A Dream

By Joe Merkle

I found Joe’s article to be a precious story about his dreams of his wife after her death. It’s a reflection on reality and self-consciousness, and brings our aha moments into focus.

Why You Should Be Writing for HubPages

By Ronald Franklin

Ronald Franklin wrote an excellent review of HubPages. And he covered all the crucial points. I know he is correct with everything he said because my first article published 13 years ago is still one of my best earners on HubPages. Stellar quality is required on HubPages, and those articles keep earning forever with external views from Google. Ronald knows what he’s talking about.

Simily Stagnation?

By Andy Spears

I noticed the stagnation with Simily shortly after many of us had Zoom meetings with the founders. I shared a lot of crucial business tactics with the founders that should have been followed to avoid this sort of thing happening. And I’m sure many others were tough on them too.

So now we experience this stagnation, and Andy Spears noticed it too. His article covers what he has discovered after eight weeks of using Simily.
