Summary

The article provides instructions on directing a newly registered eu.org domain to a website by changing the domain's nameservers to those provided by the hosting service.

Abstract

This article is a follow-up to a previous guide on registering a free eu.org domain. It outlines the process of connecting the registered domain to a website, a step necessary for the domain to point to the actual site content. The process involves setting up the website on a hosting platform, which may vary in specifics but generally includes registering/signing up, creating the site, uploading content, and then pointing the domain to the website. The author lists several free website hosting services, such as Render.com, 000webhost, Infinity Free, and Google Cloud Hosting. After uploading the site to one of these services, users must update their domain's nameservers at eu.org with the information provided by the hosting service. The article emphasizes ensuring that only "server names" are selected before submitting changes. The propagation time for the domain to start directing to the website can vary but typically takes a few hours. The author also invites readers to follow, subscribe, or become a member to support their work.

If you haven't read the previous article:

Setting up your website

Setting up your website will be different on each platform but the basic steps will probably be the following.

  1. Register/Sign up
  2. Create site
  3. Upload content
  4. Point Domain to website

Here are some free website hosting services you can use:

  1. Render.com (works with git)
  2. 000webhost
  3. Infinity Free
  4. Google Cloud Hosting

After you have uploaded your site to one of these websites you will need to point the domain to your website. When you choose to connect your already existing domain you will be given some domains.

e.g.

1example.company.com 2example.company.com 3example.company.com

All you have to do is take those domains (the amount may vary depending on the hosting service) and paste them into eu.org

  1. Go to eu.org
  2. Log in
  3. Select your domain
  4. Select Nameservers
  5. Change the Name1 and so on with what has been given to you
  6. Before you press submit make sure that only “server names” is selected

After that go to your hosting service and follow the steps. The time you have to wait for the domain to direct to your website may vary depending on the service. It will typically take a few hours.
