Develop Your Confidence of Memory, and Remember More
Breathe, relax, embrace the oblivion
Having lost your thought, you stare blindly into the echoing depths of your mind.
Breathe, relax, and — if necessary — EMBRACE the oblivion!!
Should I surrender to my need for vocalized rhythm and intonation?
Today, I share with you one truth:
The information passing through your mind, it’s really there. Not only in the form of memory and light hallucinations but as an engraving deep in the very fabric of your being.

Feel free to let anything slide, you’ll catch up with it later!
On one condition: You must take care of yourself, and proper sleep is non-negotiable.
Then, it’s in your head. Now it’s part of you.
Every thought you create is based on the pre-existence of other information.
Whether influenced internally or externally — DNA vs Environment — , there is now a cell in your brain for every little thing you might possibly divine.
And if you’ve thought it once, you can think it again! It just takes a little care during the phases of intake and processing.
What you value, is what you keep.
It’s magical.
And yet, it’s real.
Your mind holds on to information, and repetition is key to recalling down the way.
Also important:
- Forgetting.
- And sleep!
Today, I was all prepared to talk about how this affects learning. Specifically through the example of one learning languages! It’s some of my favourite stuff.
But now I’ve taken too long to get here, and must quicken up the pace!
Put simply, there are… oh… just here:
And funnily enough, this fantastic piece fits right in:
One way or another, there’s value here.
Here’s my summary:
- Value the information going in.
- Keep calm if the information becomes lost inside your head.
- If necessary, review the information with spaced repetition.
- Repeat.
- Appreciate progress.
Confidence built as courage
It isn’t always easy at first; you might certainly be afraid to get your hopes up. I get it. We hate being let down.
But your brain is remarkable. You just need to start at a point comfortable for you personally. Your goals need to feel believable to you.
Never try to bite off more than you can chew!
Big goals are useful for determining direction. Huge goals are for fantasy, and soul searching.
Small, believable goals are for building confidence.
Ultimately, think of it as working out. The brain shares this similarity with the body, that it gains strength with exercise. The more you learn you can lift, the greater your confidence for being able to lift more.
Reason takes care of the rest.
You got this.
Start small, prove to yourself you can take a step forward, and patiently keep at it.
And the purer your intention, the deeper your focus, the faster you will find yourself having gained proficiency.
Baby steps.
You. Got. This.
Next thing you’ll know, you’ll have leapt directly into the stars! Or to… whichever… other heights of your choice.
