Deja vu
An eerie feeling like you’ve been here and done this before
Hey peeps, do you ever get a sensation like you’ve been here and done this before?
Like when you’re having a conversation with someone and you suddenly remember each word both of you are speaking. Or you do something, as mundane as taking out the trash, when the scene that flashes before your eyes seems so familiar.
They say this is easily explained. It’s simply your brain giving you a false sense of reality. It’s not supposed to be real at all.
Yet, my inquiring mind wants to know more. Maybe it’s the writer in me, but I need proof to calm down all my lingering questions.
Who is to say that these moments are not premonitions? Perhaps they happen to give us warnings, so we can prepare or change our plans for events that haven’t even taken place yet.
Or just maybe, it’s a lapse in time. Where our eyes perceive something in a different realm than our brains.
I studied this way back in my high school days, in psychology class. I remember all of us students changed seats and the professor had a fit. Yet, he couldn’t do a thing because we had indeed learned his lesson. Afterall, he couldn’t be certain we weren’t sitting in our assigned seats for it’s a matter of perception and time.
So tell me, have you ever experienced this deja vu? If so, what are your thoughts.

✴My kitty-cats get bored when I write, so toss them a treat if you like.
