Death To My Ears

“A harmonious melody can fade into discord…”

a harmonious melody can fade into discord

just like that; unrivaled in its brevity.

all it takes is one mistake;

a delicate string pressed down too tight

a stubborn note held for too long

a loose grip sending chords

adrift;

one sudden shift,

and just like that,

i steer clear of those wretched notes,

for our song is death to my ears.
