Dear Men: It’s Time to Upgrade Your Underwear

Make your package look even better

My first boyfriend used to go commando — but only when we hung out together.

The first time we fooled around, nothing about it was planned. We were feeling adventurous, curious, and horny.

When his pants came down, I saw what he was sporting underneath — white briefs.

He seemed a little embarrassed by them. I couldn’t tell if he was self-conscious because they were tighty whities or because he was definitely still wearing underwear his mom bought for him.

Probably a bit of both.

The next time I fooled around with him, I was surprised when I tugged his pants down. All I found was cock and hips — no underwear whatsoever.

It was the same way every time after that.

I guess he figured it was safer to wear nothing at all when we hung out than risk putting on what he had in his drawer.

Being in his situation really sucks.

Every woman knows about lingerie confidence. That’s the way we feel when what we’re wearing under our clothes is bomb as fuck.

It makes us feel like we’re ready for anything. If some stud were to charm us and lift up our dress, we’d look downright amazing.

Knowing that makes us feel like we can be our sexiest, most seductive selves — because we know we can back up that sexiness.

Men should get to feel the same way.

You should get to wear underwear that makes you feel attractive. The kind of underwear that makes you feel more confident even if no one can see you’re wearing it.

The kind that will never make you hesitate to pull your pants off because you know what’s hiding under them looks fantastic.

Of course, you should wear whatever you feel like wearing. I’m not going to tell anyone how to dress. But part of feeling good in what you’re wearing is knowing that your partner loves it too.

If you want to be sure you’re wearing the kind of underwear most women find appealing, there are a few guidelines you should follow.

Skip the Lingerie Section

Men have lingerie options, too. But you might want to consider skipping out on those.

Searching online for men’s lingerie turns up a few different options.

You’ll find g-strings that leave little to the imagination and jock straps that look very athletic.

Dig a bit deeper and you’ll find tight briefs in sheer, silky, or leathery material.

There will be some incredibly revealing stuff, too. By which I mean underwear that leaves your cock hanging out.

You’ll also have novelty options, like briefs that unzip at the front or a thong shaped like an elephant (your dick gets to be the trunk).

I can only speak personally here, but none of those are really appealing to me. And I think it’s safe to say that most women wouldn’t find them especially arousing either.

If you do choose to wear anything like this, go for it. Wear it with confidence.

But most men will have better luck by just finding the right kind of underwear.

Upgrade Your Underwear

What counts as attractive is a pretty subjective thing, but there are a few basic ways to make your underwear game stronger.

There are some women who are into briefs, but I get the impression that they’re in the minority.

At the very least, briefs can be very hard to pull off. If you want a much safer bet, stick to boxers and boxer briefs.

Boxers are a fine option, but they can look a bit loose and baggy.

Maybe that makes them more comfortable, I have no idea. But it’s not as visually appealing as it could be.

Boxer briefs give you the best of both worlds. They’ve got the right shape, but more importantly, they’re tight.

Wearing something that fits you well is going to show off the shape of your body. Your ass is going to look its best when it’s not hidden under loose fabric. And it will contour your cock and present it as a very nice package.

Your color choice matters, too.

White is like briefs — really hard to pull off.

More standard colors like black, grey, or navy blue all work decently well. If you want a solid, reliable option, stick with those.

But don’t be scared to try out flashier colors.

Go with deep red, light blue, bright pink, any shade of purple — whatever you find appealing.

An eye-catching color is a nice way to stand out and look great. Plus, it does what a very nice pair of underwear should do — draw the eyes exactly where you want them.

You can also go for underwear that has patterns, prints, and fun designs on them.

Those showcase your personal taste and aesthetic preferences a little more. And on top of being visually appealing, they’ll also make you look more secure and confident because you’re not afraid to make bold choices.

Finally, consider the materials your underwear is made from.

What makes a good pair of underwear sexy isn’t just the way they look — it’s how they feel.

If you’re undressing for someone, there’s a good chance it’s going to be a tactile experience.

When I’m rubbing my partner’s cock through his underwear, I absolutely appreciate it when the fabric feels soft against my palm.

Even more so when I’m teasing him at the start of a blowjob. I prefer when he wears something that feels good when I’m caressing my lips against his cloth-encased cock or running my tongue along the material that’s covering his shaft.

That’s all it really takes. A good cut, a proper fit, a good color choice, and a soft fabric is going to be sexier on you than any kind of lingerie ever could be.

Better Underwear Means Better Sex

My husband used to exclusively wear black boxer briefs.

They were fine. I had no complaints.

But then his underwear game got better overnight.

We decided to get a subscription to a monthly underwear service. Every month, we pick colors or prints and each get a new pair shipped to us. Sometimes they’re matching, sometimes we go our separate ways.

I love the way he looks in them. When he’s getting dressed in the morning or getting undressed when we’re about to fuck, I go out of my way to make sure I get a peek at what he’s got on.

I find myself saying “You look so good in those” a lot more often than I did when he was sticking to black.

I can tell he feels better, too. He undoes his pants with more confidence. He goes a little more slowly so I can look and linger.

Those extra seconds I spend looking at him, checking him out, and admiring his package makes me more eager to get my hands on him. I get just a little more turned on. And that makes all the difference when we start on the foreplay and fooling around.

So yeah, if you haven’t done it already, you definitely need to upgrade your underwear game. It’s such a small change but it can make a big difference.

Don’t overthink dressing up for sex. Just make sure what you’ve got on is going to be really sexy when you’re dressing down.

You’ll be more confident, you’ll be able to deliver on that confidence, and you’ll never feel the need to go commando on date night.
