20-DAY POETRY CHALLENGE

Dear Inner Self

A poetry prompt for day 4

I am proud of you with your imperfections, faults and weaknesses

I am obsessed with you by your undertakings, small wins and loses

I am addicted by your resiliency, in spite of all the hardships you face

I am always cheering for you — you can do it, you are tough, you are amazing

I sincerely thank you for wearing those cheerful smiles when feeling blue

for making other’s day shine even when your day seems dull

for wearing a brave front when you are thinking scared

I will not cease loving you first and foremost beyond others, for you cannot give your best self when you feel empty and drained.

I can only tell you this,

“There is no one like you in the whole wide world, and your uniqueness is your greatest treasure and strength.” — Josh Balerite Acol
