The Magic of hard work
In 1934, Harry Blackstone Jr was born into a family of magicians. His father, Harry Sr had been a celebrated performer for a number of years, and he even used his young as a prop in his show. Learning at the feet of his famous father, Junior went on to have a success of his own.

Sage words from Harry Jr who appeared on many of the top talk and variety shows of the era, and did 118 shows on Broadway in 1980. He also created visual effects for Shock Rocker, Alice Cooper.
American Roadster Debut
In Flint, Michigan, the first Chevrolet Corvette rolled off the assembly line in 1953. When the prototype of the roadster first appeared at the Motorama Car Show at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in January that year, fans were so taken with the concept it forced Chevrolet to speed up production plans by about a year.
Nearly seven decades in, the Corvette continues to carry the moniker of America’s Sportscar.

Gone But Not Forgotten
The distinctive voice and features of diminutive comedian Buddy Hackett came from having Bells Palsy as a child, but he will long be remembered as a polished joke teller. A regular guest on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Buddy always came with a killer story for the audience.
He also enjoyed a lengthy and varied film career, including portraying Lou Costello in a biopic of the famous comic duo, Abbott and Costello. Buddy Hackett passed away in 2003 at age 78.
