A Marvelous Day for a Moondnace
The son of a Belfast shipyard electrician in 1945, George Ivan Morrison followed in the footsteps of his musical mother. Much of Van Morrison’s music is steeped in Irish traditions.

The greatest influencers of his work, however, comes the Soul greats of the American South, Ray Charles, Jelly Roll Morton, and Solomon Burke. But, jazz themes have a place in his music as well.
It’s been said that comparisons to Van Morrison with anyone else are virtually impossible. Van the man is truly one of a kind.

Musical Ride
A puzzling conviction for subconscious plagiarism is handed down to George Harrison in 1976 for his hit song, My Sweet Lord. After hearing evidence claiming Harrison stole the tune from Ronnie Mack’s He’s So Fine, decides that George may not have intentionally plagiarized, but nevertheless did.

John Lennon left England in 1971 with his wife Yoko to begin a new life in New York City. He never went back to England.

In 1997, while being chased by paparazzi, the car carrying Diana, Princess of Wales, and Dodi Fayed crashed in a Paris tunnel, killing the couple and driver Henri Paul.
