Day 11–100 Days Being Visible
Setting an intention reveals opportunities

I started today intending to find new ways to be visible and curious about what they would turn out to be given a full day of near back-to-back coaching sessions with clients. Now, reflecting on the day, I notice that I sent post-coaching emails to clients immediately after their call and quickly replied to a tricky email. These tasks would always have been done, as I take care of my clients; what was different was that I did them with ease and flow and without the need to overcome a desire to be invisible.
I also took the explicit ‘being visible’ step of offering a client the opportunity to read my 100 Days 100 Ways articles. I was surprised at how natural and easy making the offer was and how little I was attached to whether they accepted or declined.
While I do not yet have a game plan to win gold in the ‘being visible game’, today, I did exercise my ‘being visible muscles’. I think they are already getting a little stronger. I do still need to schedule times to think about strategies and plans for winning the main game.
When I think directly about creating a winning game plan, my automatic response is my chest constriction. I know I will need to go to another level of visibility to win the game, and while part of me wants to do that, and is excited by the idea, another part of me immediately wants to hide. No doubt both parts want the best for me, so I may need to organise a parts conference to see if they can better coordinate their strategies.
Knowledge
I used my knowledge (or perhaps belief, as I have not researched the evidentiary basis of this phenomena) that setting an intention at the start of the day would help me to notice opportunities to be visible.
Progress
I noticed new ease in some regular activities, found an opportunity to be visible and wrote this, my eleventh, short article for 100 Days 100 Ways. I have taken another step on the journey.
