Crow on Winter Wall

Poetry prompt: crossroads and choices

During sunset break, the crow on the winter wall, watches water swirl in cold waves — change comes from the sea.

He advises me with an open beak, speaking intuitively — I understand there will be opportunities.

He acknowledges me with one eye — I've seen this crow before He can forecast the future, a nature's mystic, who speaks in cryptic caws.

Please come by the way of an open heart and spread your wings to the traveler's truth.

My destiny blows in the wind — it is tomorrow's plan, and I'll soon receive my clues, figure out the soul's puzzle while the crow flies to the furthest tree.

Many thanks to Warren Brown for the December poetry prompt, "Crossroads and Choices."
