The author's fear was palpable as they describe the intense panic and physical reactions to the perceived presence of something supernatural. Creepy Unexplainable Experience!!!!

Was it a ghost?? Or was it all in my head??

Okay, so earlier this week, I had a very strange experience, and It brought back a ton of haunting memories for me.

I lived in Wales for seven months countless years ago with my grandparents in the hills away from civilization. It was creepy, dark, silent, but beautiful at the same time. The house used to be a church, and whatever ghosts that resided in that house sure weren’t shy to let me know they were there.

I wrote an entire article on this, which is available to read on medium. Here’s the link if you wish to read it. — — Story

This past weekend I’ve been cat-sitting for my cousin while she’s been away, so I’ve been popping in and out twice a day to check up on them.

Bearing in mind, I’ve been around her house countless times, and I’ve never felt anything or been creeped out in any way shape or form. However, this time was different.

I was alone, the wind was howling, rain was pouring, and the entire sky just looked grey and depressing.

As I walked to the front door, the key was refusing to work, and it took me numerous attempts to open the darn thing.

Eventually, I figured it out and made my way inside. I was greeted by three gorgeous cats purring and rubbing up against my legs, they are the cutest little angels.

Anyway, I walked into the living room, and the first thing I noticed was the TV on and the kitchen tap running. As I rushed to the kitchen to turn it off, I phoned my cousin to let her know that the cats were okay.

I also asked if she left the TV and the tap on, but she was adamant that she turned everything off.

No big deal right??

I mean It could’ve been just a coincidence. However, once we said our goodbyes, I switched off the TV, and I was taken aback by the deafening silence. The only sound I could hear was the occasional trees blowing in the wind outside.

Once I fed and watered the cats I sat down to spend a bit of time with them.

It was at this point I began to hear noises upstairs, the first noise sounded like a ball bouncing on the floor, and once that eventually stopped, I started to hear what sounded like faint whispering.

The floorboards started to creak, and it sounded like somebody was walking around above me. Unexplainable banging sounds were coming from another upstairs bedroom, and it would start, stop, then start again. This continued for about five minutes.

I decided to ring my partner as I was very creeped out. I just kept thinking, what if somebody was upstairs.

I persuaded myself to go and check it out with the help of my partner after bombarding him with phone calls and texts begging him to speak to me as I proceeded up each step, trying my best to imagine I was anywhere else but there.

Once I got to the top of the stairs, I froze in fear, not because I saw something, but because this huge wave of panic rushed through me. My breathing became rapid, I started to tremble, and my heart was pounding hard and fast in my chest.

I slowly made my way through each room, and there was nobody. I couldn’t understand how or why I was hearing those noises.

I said goodbye to my partner and carried on looking around.

I approached the bathroom, and yet again, the tap was on. As I stood in front of the sink, I had an overwhelming feeling that I was being watched. If you’ve ever had this feeling, then you know how truly terrifying it is.

The hairs on the back of your neck stand up, you get goosebumps on your arms, you feel butterflies in your stomach, and all you want to do is run away as fast as you can. It’s horrendous.

So after checking the entire place out, I decided it was time to leave. It felt like whatever or whoever It was obviously didn’t want me there. I made sure all the windows were locked and the cats were okay.

As I walked away, I slowly looked back, and for some reason my eyes were drawn to the front bedroom upstairs. Of course I didn’t see anything, but in my head, I was picturing something standing at the window watching me leave, it was so scary.

I walked away whilst glancing back every couple of minutes, feeling so relieved I was out of there. I also felt an immense feeling of guilt. I mean I just left three adorable cats in this creepy house, so I was praying that they were going to be okay.

Yesterday my cousin arrived home, and thankfully the cats were all good. (Trust me to only think of the cats in this creepy situation lol.) However, she asked about the TV and informed me that it automatically switches off after a couple of hours, so she didn’t know how it turned on unless one of the cats switched it on lol.

So yeah, that was an extremely freaky experience. I keep remembering what happened and wondering if it was all in my head, but I’ve not felt that way in a very long time. I’ve yet to tell my cousin what happened, but it would be interesting to see if she has also felt anything.

Have any of you ever felt anything like this??

Please do comment and let me know so I know I’m not alone. 👻😱😰
