Creativity Blossoms in Limitation

Poetry Prompt: Limitations

I am the flower that blooms in adversity; in limitation blossoms my creativity.

In frugality (of limited budget) sprouted my most ridiculous yet functional solutions yet, from egg cartons as laptop stands, coffee tins as compost bins, plastic forks as makeshift indoor plant rakes.

In boundaries I don’t see despair, instead finding certainty — a sort of pre-installed structure from which I can weave just about anything.

Lucy (The Eggcademic) [she/her] dropped off the KTHT prompt wagon a few weeks ago and it feels so refreshing to be back! This week’s prompt is especially something dear to my heart. I always grew up without, so boundaries and limitations are almost my default. From saving food scraps to crafting materials destined for trash into things that are useful for me (upcycling!), in limitation I find comfort and structure.
