Create Your Content for SEO that Ranks in Google
Use Semrush.com to Find Competitive Topics and Keywords for Your Article

In the last two weeks, I have read many articles and videos about SEO in writing and content creation.
It’s a fascinating topic, and many companies get significant incomes precisely because of the excellent SEO.
But before you start talking about the nonsense of SEO, let me explain why it’s so important to use it in anything you create: website, article, etc.
Tools like Google Trends, Ahrefs, Semrush (and many others) are excellent tools because they show the following information:
- Competitive of keywords
- Views for a particular query
- Trending keywords and queries
It’s just one example of what these tools offer to make good research and data for your content, company, or anything else.
These websites mainly show the relevance of the particular content and the interest of actual readers.
That’s why before writing any article, it’s good to know it will interest your readers.
It is even better to say that your readers and other people will search and will need to get your article or content to find answers to their questions.
That’s why general research and understanding your product’s relevance are essential before creating it.
In this article, we’ll look at one fantastic website and how to use it. It’s a semrush.com, and the main reason why I’ve selected this is because it has so many valuable tools anyone can use.
Also, I share a YouTube channel that helps you to learn many related topics and see guidance on many of them.
Check these links above if you want to learn more. And now, we start our lesson with step-by-step guidance.
Step 1. Pick a Niche or Idea
If I have some ideas for your article, you can skip this step and go to the second.
But it’s good to know what’s trending and what people are interested in.
There are several main niches you can work on that are very popular nowadays and maybe shortly:
- Health
- Finance
- Business
- Travel
- Fitness
You can look for more on Google and YouTube. It’s so easy to find. But if you are lazy, then I have one article for you.
Step 2. Search This Topic on Semrush.com

For example, let’s search for a yoga keyword. If you are interested in any other topic, use words you like.

After this, you will navigate to the Keyword Magic Tool, where you can find all keywords and queries.
You must select KD as Easy (15–30) or a little more in the filters. If you pick a KD value that is too high, you will find too competitive queries that are difficult to get many views.
Another filter you need to pick is volume. Volume is a value that shows how many searches this keyword gets in one month.
The higher the volume and lower KD, the more chances for you to find good keywords and queries for your content.
But as you may find, Ahrefs is a paid tool, and Semrush is a remarkably free tool.
I love using Google Trends, but it only provides keyword information.
You can search for and try other free tools using the link below.
By the end of this article, I want to advise on learning new things and discovering other tools. I will link below that might be helpful for you in your research.
