September Six-Word Photo Story Challenge: “Comfort”

Sometimes you drive to find comfort.

My oldest will often say to me, “Go for a ride?” Some days this means a quick tour of the Little Free Libraries in our neighborhood or a hunt for them, using the app, in relatively close neighborhoods.

Sometimes it’s aimless. Windows rolled down, cool breeze whipping through your hair, arm out the window challenging the air’s resistance, chasing the sunset following roads that lead straight to it.

The above photo is a result of just that sort of aimless ride. Turning around as I passed that scene, my son looked at me quizzically. “I want a picture of that old pump shed,” I answered his gaze.

“How did you know?” he said, “I do too.”

Good times!
