Francesca, Minerva, and I are about to take a new journey and move to the countryside, but some of us are having cold feet.

Francesca is my badass alter ego. I created her over a decade ago for her courage and fierce attitude. I have become her in a lot of ways but not all positive, unfortunately. There is an over-inflated version of her that comes out, and that’s when things get out of hand.

Francesca is a businesswoman and a big city baller, flexing her platinum card all over town and showing herself off at every event. She lived that life for a long time. She is sociable like me that way.

She never saw herself living in the country. Sure, neither did I, but here we are. We all agreed to this. We all need the country living, even Francesca, who is now dramatizing it.

Francesca is a confident, successful woman kicking ass and taking names; that has been the case her whole life. There is nothing she hasn’t accomplished- there is nothing she hasn’t fought through. She is a true genius hustler. Her drive and energy are fierce and have gotten us where we are. I honestly think she is the sole reason we can afford the lovely estate in the country.

Francesca knows she needs to leave the city. She knows there is nothing of value here- there never was. Her life has been hard enough; it’s what made her so strong. She knows she needs to slow down and heal now, but she just doesn’t always want to.

She likes to sip her bourbon and be cynical sometimes. Judgmental and egotistical too. We have been working on all this with the help of Minerva, my healthier alter ego.

There is no rest for the wicked, though; that’s Fran. That’s why she is worried — we are worried. What is she going to do out there in the middle of now where? Minerva and I are still trying to figure out how we are going to keep her occupied.

She has already declared that she will not involve herself in the country living operations, including the gardening.

She suggested writing on medium, but I definitely do not want to be associated with her suggested genre. She can start her own Francesca Dimitrious blog if she wants, but I’m not taking part in it.

I feel like I have to be strong for Francesca before she loses her shit, and then all of our dreams go out the window. She almost got arrested again last week, acting out her insecurities. Likely, we were spared once again.

A handsome countryman might be what Fran needs to help her with her country living transition. I honestly feel the lack of one is why she stays angry. It would be nice for her to keep her entertained out there, at the very least; I would prefer one that is also handy with yard work.

If I find one at the livestock market, I am so getting her one; highly doubt it though.

Minerva is over the moon to move to the countryside. She loves her peace and looking forward to finding more of it out there.

Minerva is a thriving goddess, like Francesca, minus the aggressive egotism. She is calm and grounded. Minerva has picked up incredible patience and wisdom from her world travels.

Minerva’s wisdom and calmness have been supportive during this major life change. She is the driving force and encouragement to our minimalism. She studies Buddhism and Kabbalah, reads ancient wisdom, and drinks just water.

The fear of the unknown is freaking us out, but we are all ready. We are ready to go deeper into solitude and simple living — ready to get closer to nature and to build our own oasis. We are ready to heal further and connect with the real purpose of life.

It will be great. We will get through it all either way, just like we always do.
