Poetry for new shades of Bossa Nova

long dunk in drums solar summoning shimmers catch iris blood glow under eyelid ecstatically sad my yellow heart the sonar notes through deep green breeze smelling blue infinitely absorbing chanting waves warm water shivering electromagnetic sound conducting a lonely dance colors whispering ultraviolet
Notes:
This poem was inspired by a contemporary iteration of bossa nova in Da Lata’s Cores. Da Lata have been fusing Afro-Brazilian sounds through jazz and funk out of the UK for a few decades.
The lyrics are very poetic — in true bossa nova form — and inspired the words above.
