Summary

The website content reflects on the profound and timeless nature of human existence through poetic musings and references to cosmic origins, while also promoting Christopher Madsen's books of limericks.

Abstract

The webpage presents a poetic exploration of humanity's ancient connection to the cosmos, suggesting that we are composed of stellar matter and are as old as time itself. The text delves into themes of dreaming, creation, consciousness, and the lessons learned through life's journey. It touches on the idea that in death, we return to a forbidden magic, positioning humans as the progeny of long-gone giants. The page also serves as a platform for the author Christopher Madsen, highlighting his two books of limericks, "Ice Cream for Breakfast on Mondays" and "Tacos for Brunch on Tuesdays," which offer a lighter, more whimsical take on poetry.

Opinions

  • The author implies that humans possess an inherent connection to the universe, being literally made of stars.
  • There is a sense of nostalgia and loss for a past that is grander and more magical than the present.
  • The text suggests that humans have a unique ability to dream and create, which propels society forward.
  • It posits that life's consciousness can be overwhelming, with humans often feeling lost and blind to the lessons they are meant to learn.
  • The mention of death hints at a cyclical view of existence, where humans return to a mystical state, perhaps hinting at a form of reincarnation or transcendence.
  • The promotion of Madsen's books indicates the author's belief in the power of poetry and humor to capture life's complexities and joys.

Children of Dead Giants

We are older than time, living inside eternity

We are made of stars. Set a drift from the heavens. Broken, in our mold.

Imagining dreams. We craft the impossible, moving time forward.

A life’s consciousness. Lost in bodies to control. Blind in our lessons.

In death, remember. We are forbidden magic. Children of dead giants.
