Chicken Coop Cat House Dog Doo Blues

Oh my achy breaky heart…

Better run, girls! No meat for supper! Photo by author

I looked at my watch, it was a quarter to two. I’m sittin’ in this bar, sippin’ on my beer, The hookers ain’t ugly when they’re wearin’ somethin’ sheer. My wife done left me, I don’t know what to do. Ain’t got no meat for supper. My teeth fell out, I can’t even chew.

My dog won’t hunt and my truck won’t start so how will I find a woman who won’t break my heart?

Author’s note: This “song” has been twanging around in my head for decades, inspired by a late night, wine-fueled get-together with my kid brother, who started the challenge with “Well, I looked at my watch, it was a quarter to two…” and we went downhill from there.

Can you do better? [Yes, anyone can.] Go ahead. I double-dog-dare ya.

And continuing on our downward spiral, these:
