Poetry
Chewing up the Alphabet One Letter at a Time
A tongue in cheek abecedarian poem

Awake, alert with words I flirt
Brazen breezy not so easy
Cheeky me, musing free
Droll, I roll in verbs and nouns
Endeavour to appear profound
Furnish you with dining tables
Garnish plates with leaves and fables
Hapless caught up in the spell
Imagination soars and swells
Jabberwocky makes no sense
Knitting words in present tense
Lace and weave in granny knots
Manufacture many plots
Narratives to make you yawn
Provoke an outcry, laughter, scorn
Querulous the reader sighs
Reason gone now closes eyes
Snorts and sniggers all around
Tragicomedy abounds
Understanding she has failed
Valiant poetess exhales
Wacky, no literary hero
You score her a big fat
Zero
I survived the stress of publishing my first abecedarian poem on Saturday and am delighted it was well received.
Thank you to Robin Klammer and Gurpreet Dhariwal for egging me on!
In case you missed it, this was my first one:
