Bonus: “That” Chocolate. Some books are just that good.

With fall moving into winter there is nothing better than an engaging book and amazing chocolate. I was fortunate enough to get both from Maren Muter.

I was happy that the book arrived a day before as I was heading out for a 3-week trip across the country. I already knew how much I was going to enjoy this book as I had read all of Maren’s books before this one including “The Book of Buried Letters”, “ A Story of Cacao”, and “ Inside Past Life Connections” and I loved all of them. Maren has a beautiful gift to tell stories.

Your Quantum Brain — A Life to Savor came out in August 2023. It is 199 pages of pure delight. You can get this book from Maren’s website or Barnes and Noble. This book is one of those that when you start to read it is hard to put down and you know you want to keep it so you can go back to it later and read it again and again.

Maren talks about life experiences: “Our life experience includes (among other things) a combination of forms of the theories of quantum superposition, quantum entanglement, and the principle of least action” p.57. The book has complex ideas about life, our existence, and how we can make sense of it all. It is written in a way that is beautiful and easy to understand.

Maren gives realistic and simple examples from life to relate to the quantum concepts. “ Thinking of the garden and the meadows surrounding it, with wheat bowing in the breeze, and the butterfly net, let us once again go back to the kitchen and make pasta water.” p.76

I read this book a few weeks ago, and I am ready to read it again soon. I re-read some parts, I underlined some parts, and I made comments on the side or below what Maren wrote. Some of my comments included “ I love this every time I hear it” for her story on Page 155. “Love this” for a paragraph on page 146. I circled a comment Maren makes all the time that is so beautiful on page 144. “We are enough just as we are.” It is so simple isn’t it, yet so beautiful. I could go on with many pages many notes and many quotes. I think you get the picture. It is a book that is worth buying, worth having, and going back to any time you have a question. I highly recommend getting this book. I simply love it.

And while you are in Maren’s store get some chocolate. It is a short period each fall she has the handmade magical chocolate and cocoa available so get your hands on it while you can. She pours her heart and soul and lots of love and kindness into these chocolate pieces.

I have ordered “That Chocolate” before and it is a wonderful handmade chocolate. It is how every bite of chocolate could taste, and the world would be a much happier place. This year I ordered 4 and gave it away to friends and family. I only had a small bite from the 4 beautiful packages the rest was gone. It is that good.
