This is significantly higher than the previous estimate of four sexual partners.

The U.K.-based health and beauty retailer asked more than 2,000 men and women in the United States and Europe to explain their thoughts and experiences on sexual histories.

But what is more interesting in the survey is that both men and women lie when asked about their sexual history. Men tend to give out a higher number to impress, while women lower their number for fear to be labeled as promiscuous.

Yes, surveys like this one will never be reliable but can show how society views men and women differently.

And how each one of us conforms or rebels against the norms dictated by society.

A number is just that — a number. But 10 was the “Goldilocks” answer when a survey with over 1,000 respondents was asked,

What is the ideal number of sexual partners?

The number 10 for both men and women was — “neither too hot nor too cold”. Anything beyond 10 makes a woman look promiscuous, and to that I say,

WTF!

Enjoy sex while you can because believe me there will be dry spells and when that happens, one can only look back at the many times you enjoyed sex.
