Being a frequent traveller to one of these countries, I have tried this several times and it works like charm!</p><h1 id="92a0">What about buying the phone on contract?</h1><p id="7b8a">Network providers charge you hell a lot for your brand new handset, they bind you to a 24–36 months contract and by the time your contract is up, your phone would only fit in the recycling bin; 36 months is light-years in the tech world. The only reason you would have to buy a phone from a network provider on a contract is that you don’t have the money to buy it upfront. I have been using the most up to date iPhones for the last 3 years and I have been upgrading without losing my money on any of them, and you should be doing the same as well.
