Buy now or wait for ARM Macbooks?
Thinner, lighter, Extra cores, higher frequencies and better dedicated GPUs, But Should you wait for one?

IF you have decided about buying a new Macbook this year, and that is the question that is stopping you from buying it. Then Yes, buy a new Macbook Today.
The reasons are pretty simple really,
The news has been all about reporting that Apple will unveil the first steps towards an ARM-powered MacBook at WWDC 2020. The news, If true, will mean that we will start seeing ARM Macbooks starting next year at the earliest.
What will Apple Learn From Microsoft?
The main challenge here is that Apple will be facing the same situation Microsoft had when It started introducing the ARM-based Surface Pro; Will it kill the Intel lineup completely, or will it keep both options? And If both options will be there next year, assuming the performance will be on par with each other, how quickly developers will migrate to the ARM architecture, If ever?
Don’t get me wrong, Apple’s developers base currently is nowhere compared to what Microsoft has. But Can you see how much uncertainties are on the horizon?
Knowing Apple, I don’t believe they would release a Macbook that will underperform or look like an unfinished product. But again, knowing Apple, They hardly admit any mistake with any of their new products — Looking at you Butterfly Keyboard!
I would prefer to get my new Macbook, sit and watch the next few years what will happen, maybe skip the first generation — which was never a bad decision with Apple. Then, re-assess the situation. More importantly, Don’t rush the decision as I did with my iPad, or you might regret it!
It would be 2–3 years at least before an ARM Macbook will mature enough to match its Intel-based sibling. so until then, go buy your new Macbook.
and good luck Apple!
