Busy Women: How to Feel Good Every Day
The power of a rested woman.
Learning to be comfortable in your skin, to love, honour, appreciate and accept all of our humanness is a journey.
Most women are so focused on caring and tending to others, we forget to put our needs on the table.
We eat last.
We say, “No, you go first, I’m OK,”
and pick up the groceries on the way home after a grueling day at work (pre-covid WFH days.)
What if we didn’t do that?
What if we rescheduled our day to tend to our needs first?
What if we used the first breath of the day to fill us up from the inside out, to connect with the goodness within and exhale from a place of fullness rather than exhaustion?
What if we stretched our arms around our heart first, wrapped ourselves up with self-love and then extended a helping hand?
What if we took a stand, found our voice and said YES to ourselves, and NO to doing more?
What if we rested more during our day, instead of pushing through the pile of laundry and the relentless list of things to do?
The power of a rested woman, a woman on a journey of peace and wholeness, world unity, is a powerful woman.
And it starts with that first breath of thanks and gratitude when we wake.
So, today, dear gentle reader, I invite you to take a stand, recommit to justice and healing of your soul, and then take on the world.
