Random Drabble #88: ‘Considerable’

Each day, our friend @Nancy Oglesby posts a word for the following day. Your challenge is to write a drabble (a story of exactly 100 words) in which the day’s random word features. Please stay for at least 30 seconds. Medium likes those who stay for 30 seconds.
It took considerable effort, but he was able to load her into the trunk. Now, it was time to dispose of her. He couldn’t afford for anyone to find out she was his girlfriend. He was up for the top job, and to fuck up now would be disastrous.
He buried her where no one would find her. Once he had scraped every crumb of dirt back into the hole, he headed back to the rectory. Tomorrow, he would be installed as the first Catholic bishop in the territory. He had to be seen as a saint, not a sinner.
