A rondelet is a French form of short poetry. It consists of seven lines. The refrains - lines 1, 3 and 7 - repeat and are four syllables each. Lines 2, 4, 5 and 6 are all eight syllables in trochaic tetrameter. The rhyme scheme is ABA ABBA.
