Bubbles

Bruce the Border Collie was having a blast chasing his new Frisbee when his favorite baby, aka my granddaughter, returned from a trip to Jurassic Quest — a traveling dinosaur experience — with a bubble wand. He was unsure of the bubbles at first but then quickly ran through them without a care. He’s definitely living his best life.

Books

I doubt it’s any surprise that books would feature somewhere in my letter B. I’ve always been a reader. There have been times in my life when the reading slowed down, but it’s the one thing I always return to and it fills me with great joy.

On a recent trip to Half Price Books, I was looking for some new cozy mysteries but found something that thrilled me even more. In the collectibles section, I found three (three!) Sweet Valley High books and I grabbed them all. One was priced at $10 which I know is high but I didn’t care. I mean, I’d probably have a limit as to how much I’d pay for a SVH book but I haven’t come across it yet. Those were some of my favorite books as a kid. It was my escape. I could experience the lives of the characters and forget about my own problems for a while.

Banana Nut Bread

Another attempt at making things in the air fryer resulted in this delicious banana nut bread last night. It was a nice after dinner dessert. The top was more brown/crunchy than I’m used to but overall a success. The recipe made 1 mini loaf. Perfect for everyone to share.

Thanks to JoAnn Ryan for the challenge and the opportunity to share bits of myself and my life.
