Bringing Meaning to My Life Through Numbers One to Seven

My response to Karen’s Schwartz’ number challenge

When Karen Schwartz tagged me in her new challenge What do the numbers one through seven say about your life? I couldn’t get George Costanza out of my head.

I love that Karen is building on one of my prompts from The March Challenge: What’s your lucky number?

I had a ball reading your responses to what your luckiest numbers were. You really got me thinking about all of the ways we can bring meaning to our lives through numbers.

Thanks Karen for letting us delve deeper.

What do the numbers one through seven say about your life?

#1

I drink one coffee every morning.

I have one husband, there’s no one else like him.

I graduated with First Class Honours.

We have one big, beautiful tree in our front yard and I love it. I can see it from where I’m writing this.

#2

I have two children; one human and one fur.

I have two legs that carry me through every day.

I have two scars from past surgeries. One is the melanoma that was removed from my back and the other is from my adductor tenotomy, a sports injury (remember when I used to have time for sport).

I love wearing two braids.

I only wear two pieces of jewellery, my engagement and wedding ring. (Except for when I wear earrings… but that’s hardly ever).

I’ve been to Europe twice.

#3

I like to construct sentences in threes. Example: Having to feed, bath and keep your toddler alive is bloody hard work.

I also like to hang things in threes.

Our forever home we just bought has three bedrooms.

#4

Carl always gets a Yahtzee with fours.

I’ve been to America four times.

#5

I have five brothers and sisters, I don’t know how I’ve survived this long. I don’t recommend siblings, they’re overrated.

#6

I use six eggs to make scrambled eggs for me, Carl and Caelin.

I went to six different high schools before dropping out.

Add 30 to this digit and it’s the number of jobs I’ve had.

The time my body clock wakes me up every morning to Medium. That’s right, I made it a verb.

#7

Carl and I started dating in November 2007.

I was in active labour for 7 hours and 38 minutes. (I wanted to ask for the epidural about 77 times).

I write my sevens with a dash. This is a habit I learned from when I worked in sales and had to handwrite A4 signs.

Last year, my business celebrated its 7th birthday.
