Breaking News: Famous Listicle Writer Runs Out of Ideas
Here are the reasons why
Friday, 20 January 2023, Dublin. Famous listicle writer Neill O’Leary announced the end of his career. O’Leary, who became rich and famous with his thought-provoking listicles, posted the following reasons for ending his career on social media.
№1 — Creative fatigue
O’Leary described feeling burned out and at a total loss of new listicle ideas. The writer even finds himself unable to write shopping lists. His creative fatigue is accompanied by physical exhaustion caused by staring at blank pages.
№2 — Chronic procrastination
Although procrastination is a common phenomenon among writers, the listicle master has become unable to write unless he writes meaningless tweets that serve to extend his procrastination. He prefers to spread his messages over several numbered tweets.
№3 — Writer’s Block
Because of O’Leary’s many questionable social media posts during the last several months, the listicle author is blocked on nearly every writing platform.
№4 — Imposter Syndrome
O’Leary does not feel good enough anymore. Realising all of his four reasons for stopping his career were common challenges faced by all writers intensified the feeling, according to the listicle writer.
It is, so far, unknown what O’Leary plans for the future.
Update by the editor: Since publishing this report, O’Leary threatened The Kraken News with legal action for portraying him badly. The listicle writer announced his plan to submit a correction to The Kraken News, featuring four reasons this report is flawed.
