Blizzard in Tahoe

A Poem

Photo by Wil Stewart on Unsplash

Mountain snow can whiteout the world in an instant —

why are we driving in this, we ask, and press on, why is anyone driving in this,

we see spin outs, we see people stuck it’s a standstill, it’s a silent night,

it’s gorgeous, it’s glorious, it’s dangerous snowflakes as big as our hands hit the windshield.
