POEM OF VISUAL ENGAGEMENT
Black and White Photos Evoke Multiple Senses to Your Mind’s Eye
Next time you look at black and white photos, put yourself in the scenes of the time and listen to the detailed story you describe.
Frozen moments captured in minuscule frames Souls lived, lives paused with a click
Wondering, questioning, participatory story-telling 35mm Kodak immersively entertaining
Sun-kissed cheeks from mid-day’s vast rays Perspiring droplets steadily raise their temps
Vibrant reds, royal blues, and bright yellows Patiently, sitting behind the closed drape of gray
Silk blouses caress women’s strength and figures Men’s ties loosened inch by inch till the photo’s conclusion
Stretching interlocking arms, moans engaged, cramps start Soft, children’s whispers and whines evolve with emerging laughter
Dynamic stories told through emotionally pulsing, stationary eyes Touched by a world of color reminding and informing our mind’s eye
