When I am submitting I always forget something! Like near enough every single time and the Publication editors must think “Oh, no! Not this bozo, again!”

After my post about SEO descriptions. I decided to write a little list for myself to help me with the submission and publishing process on Medium. And I am sharing it with you!

The checklist for simply publishing

  1. Have you checked the grammar, spelling and punctuation for the whole piece with Grammarly or ProWritingAid?
  2. Are there any blank spaces? White space?
  3. Are your titles formatted correctly per the Publication standards?
  4. Any block paragraphs?
  5. Is your title SEO friendly?
  6. Did you add your tags? There are five! You should use them all. Some Publications insist you use their name as one of your tags.
  7. Have you added the SEO description?
  8. Did you give the source for your images?
  9. Read one last time to catch any mistakes!
  10. Before you hit submit make sure it’s the correct Publication!

I really hope this helps you organize and not forget anything important.

Thanks for reading!
