POEM: MORTALITY
Before the End
Put it all out there before you lose your chance.
One beginning to one’s end On Earth, time won’t bend
Snap out of mindless motion Maybe, add a little magic potion
Wake up with this new day Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed to stay
Last breaths may come in silence Praying they aren’t met with violence
What moves your world inside It gives hope to know you tried
Take your ambitious chances now Don’t wait till answering every how
Be you from top to bottom and inside out Back your words with power, no doubt
Let your actions lay it all out for good Don’t listen to the pessimistic “you should”
Don’t wait to spill your love to whom Embraces may never come to bloom
Fly by with wings and smiles, greeting Don’t give up when you feel depleting
Turn your volume past its conditioned limit Believe your soul till the last-minute
Let your wishes have their now Before your end takes its bow
Thank you for reading my poem. May you all let your wishes have their now.
