What is 🐝 Beedium?
First of all… Hello, folks! 😊
I am Martynas Ki. (@strangecash) and today I am starting a new and (hopefully 😅) revolutionary project — Beedium.com:
It’s just a start — now everything is in “coming soon” phase. 🙄
But! 🚨
In the upcoming months I will blow the dust off of my coding skills and plan to create an incredibly awesome, useful and free platform for every Medium Member! 🦸♂️
Main ideas that I will try to implement:
- Medium analytics with enhanced stats and insights; 🎯
- Community of most awesome and active Medium Members; 🤗
- Writing contests with honest voting system; 🏆
- Medium publication finder customised for your needs; 📚
- Points system with discovery of the most popular stories; 🌟
- Chrome extension for better experience on Medium; 👨💻
- ⚠️☝ The first tool will be launched next week! 💖
Believe me, this project gonna be huge! 🚀
If I will be lucky enough to “materialize” even 10% of my ideas — Medium will be even better and never be the same for all of us! ✨

Why Bee-dium? 🍯🐝
To be completely honest, ever since I joined Medium, I’ve had this project on my mind because I had so many ideas for what can be improved on the platform. ✨
I just needed time for all my ideas to settle and… I needed a name for the project. 🙄
And there is a “tiny” problem with that — it’s 2024 already and to find free, available and good .com domain is mission impossible! Well, almost…
Because few weeks ago “all stars aligned” and I finally found it! 🥳
🐝 Beedium.com will be the home for my ideas!
At the very first sight this name didn’t look good enough for me but… The more I dug deeper into the concept the more I liked it! 👍
Because in the very end, there are many similarities between those tiny Bees and Medium Writers:
- Bees just like Mediumers are incredibly hard working creatures! ✍🐝
- Bees have a remarkable sense of teamwork and cooperation — they can achieve amazing results only by working together! And upcoming Beedium community will be like that. 👨👩👧👦😎
- And if we spot any spammers, bad guys, or pure AI content Frankensteins — we will fight and “sting” them just like bees do! 🤬💥😅
So this was it — a quick overview of my upcoming project. 😊 I hope you’ll like it! 🌟
