Be Open (More About Me) — Cameron Sidhe
Poet, dreamer, knitter … what else?
I’m honored to join the Be Open community, sharing space with some incredibly talented writers. To help foster connection, I’d like to share a bit about myself!

I’m a writer, knitter, and loving dog mom currently living in Cleveland, OH. I’m originally from Illinois and have lived in the Great Lakes region my entire life, except for three magical months in Scotland as a Gilman Scholar.
I hold a Master of Arts in Global Interactions from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Illinois-Chicago. While studying, I also worked with students to improve their writing and gave back through nonprofit internships.
Along my life journey, I’ve experienced a number of unique situations, including psychosis, gender exploration, mental illness, chronic illness, and sexual assault. These challenges have taught me many lessons that I hope to impart to others, turning lemons into literary lemonade.
But more importantly, I love and am loved by two beautiful rescue pit bulls, who make me laugh, offer me solace, and keep me on my toes!

With these two at my side, and with a loving community of fellow writers, I am unstoppable, able to distill lessons from any challenge. I hope you find comfort, courage, and comradery from my work.

So very nice to meet you! Let’s get writing!
Be Open Says;
Thank you for creating yours one, Cameron! :-)
