LIFE LESSONS: CHECK YOUR RECEIPT

Be Careful at the Supermarket

My 100-word rant. We were overcharged nearly $80 for groceries.

Normally, I do most of the grocery shopping and cooking in our house. However, I am “too old” during this lockdown in our area to go shopping.

If you’re over 59, you can’t go further than the mailbox or to walk the dog. Anyway, I made her a list. But when she came home, she was complaining that she had spent $275.

So, I took a look at the receipt. Instead of $4.29 for lettuce, we were charged $42.90. And instead of two cans of Spam, we were charged $39.80 for twenty.

They fixed it, but was there a plan?
