LIFE LESSONS & EXTRA EFFORT
The Benefit of Extra Efforts
The benefits of exerting the extra effort needed to complete the task.

100-Word Micro-Fiction
I remember distinctly what my mom had said as I sat there visually trying to “put a square peg into a round hole.” She said the extra effort would be worth the energy expended. If I gave up too soon, it would lead to disappointment.

The added exertion strained against my stomach and made it ache. I wondered if the attempt would bring reward.
Eureka! What my mom said about the extra effort was evident in the bottom of the bowl.
