There’s enough negativity in the world already

Short story time!
A Hindu, a Rabbi, and a Critic were traveling through the countryside when they got caught in a storm. A farmer welcomed them in, but said he had room for only two—and one would need to stay in the barn.
A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door. It was the Hindu.
“I’m sorry but there’s a cow out there and it’s against my religion to intrude on its sacred space.“
So the Rabbi offered to go out there instead.
A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door. It was the Rabbi. “I’m sorry but there’s a pig out there and in my religion, it’s unclean for me to share quarters with a pig.”
So finally, the Critic offered to go.
A few minutes later. there was a knock at the door. It was the Cow and the Pig….

Leaving it right there for soulful contemplation.
It’s too easy to slide into negativity. We know what we want to see and when we don’t? How quickly do we succumb into our disappointments, fears or anger.
Yet what was our guiding light? What thought or idea gave us hope?
Wouldn’t that give us more promise? More resilience?
