Poetry on relieving sadness to
Bay of Bengal
My Sea, My Companion of Sorrow

A long time ago, I saw the sea — my Bay of Bengal. In front of the huge beach Amongst the sand-stone and nearby the hilly slopes, And amongst the crowd of pebbles. Where crowd gathered To watch the sun go down.
The vastness of the sea touched me.
I moved forward to the sea, Waves came and touched my feet, With its foamy water. Then it came again, One after another. My grief washed away. Tired eyes, brought to tears, Tears with manifested joy. Oysters, rocks, quicksand, and snails rejoice.
My vast sea said, ‘Your pain remains with me, I kept your grief under my secret garden.” My peace came with a joyful dance.
A long time ago.
I’m sensing a strange wind of depression today, Everything paused, Full of sadness.
I need my Bay of Bengal, I need to visit my sea. I will embrace her, And she will clasp me with her vastness. And she will absorb my sadness.
I will be a new person, A new me, once again.
The Bay of Bengal is the northeastern part of the Indian Ocean. Its area touches different countries, including Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Thailand.
