Ayahuasca Changed Everything
Years After Taking Ayahuasca

Life can be challenging, but for me, I had reached a point in my early 30s where nothing really made sense to me. Was this my life now?
After going to school/university until I was 25/26 and then joining the workforce, I felt so bored. This cannot be it, right?
After not finding any answers in the Western world, I started to look into more alternative ways. Because of a documentary on Netflix, I became aware of D*M*T for the first time. I had heard about mind-altering illegal drugs before, but DMT felt different. I felt drawn to this topic like a magnet and started to research more and more about it. Somebody suggested Ayahuasca to my partner, and I was immediately interested. This person said that his sister organizes Ayahuasca weekends in the Netherlands, near Amsterdam, so I started to look for these kinds of retreats and found one.
My partner and I had our first Ayahuasca ceremony together and saw it as a spiritual wedding ceremony for ourselves before getting married in this reality.
What is Ayahuasca
Ayahuasca is a psychoactive brew used for centuries in South American cultures for spiritual and healing purposes. It’s prepared by boiling the vine of Banisteriopsis caapi with the leaves of the Psychotria viridis plant, resulting in a bitter-tasting liquid. Ayahuasca is used by indigenous peoples in South America for spiritual ceremonies, divination, and healing rituals. It’s believed to help with various physical and mental ailments, including depression, anxiety, and addiction.
The Event
This event was eye-opening and felt a bit like the scene from The Matrix after Neo ate the red pill. My body had a hard time in the beginning. A lot of people around me threw up, but I wanted to keep it in for a reason, which I did.
After a harsh transition for the body, the mind became freer, and my soul had an extremely pleasant experience.
It felt like a haven to me, and I felt sad that I had to leave in the end. I felt the motherly unconditional love that I had been seeking my whole life and felt that Mother Ayahuasca healed me on a level that I was not aware existed. I cannot remember the details of this trip. All that I can say is that it was a positive, healing, loving experience, and I felt reborn afterwards.
The Change

My character started to change drastically into the real me. I regained a connection with my higher self that I had no idea I was missing before. I destroyed parts of my ego and got rid of a few onion layers (yoga philosophy). I started to become more and more aware after this experience, seeing through the programming that I went through as a child and later on.
I saw patterns that I copied from my parents, but I was not able to change everything about me that I didn’t like immediately.
My intention was very clear: Become a better version of myself and don’t repeat the mistakes that I saw in my family.
Ayahuasca opened up a new world for me.
The years following that mind-opening Ayahuasca weekend weren’t always pleasant, and I had to face a few difficult situations in my last 7-year cycle, but I am grateful for each and every experience I’ve had.
I understand now that the reality we create is strongly intertwined with our reaction to the environment.
An angry reaction signifies being in a low vibration, stuck in my own little hell. Kind, respectful, and loving reactions hold higher vibrations, thus granting me more control, not just over my emotions, but over my entire reality.
Today

It brought me here. Today, I am a 40+ mother of 2 with a loving and kind husband. I am still improving and will be doing this all my life. I love it. I love to get better, healthier, more aware, and grateful every day. Every day, a little step in the right direction is progress.
Progress doesn’t need to be fast; it has to be consistent.
What came After?
After trying Ayahuasca, I also tried Iboga, Magic Mushrooms and Truffles, Salvia Divinorum, DMT, and I tried out more and more plant medicines like Sananga, Cats Claw, Bobinsana, Haritaki, and next, I want to focus on the blue lotus flower that was used in ancient Egypt.

My diet became better and better. I believe diet is very individual; our bodies are so different, and everybody needs to figure out the right diet for themselves. But for me, it is a diet that leans towards Keto but still allows carbohydrates and a little bit of sugar. I reduced the amount of processed food down to a minimum and hope to eliminate this factor in my diet completely. I am not addicted to white sugar anymore, and I implemented intermittent fasting in my daily life.
I work out in a more sensitive and regular way than ever before. My body feels better now than it did in my late 20s. I am working on my handstand, and it is getting better every day.
Life is fun and full of adventure; it’s never boring, especially if I have a say. I left my full-time job, and now I sustain myself with remote jobs, yoga classes, and social media. As my mindset improves, I’m confident I’m moving towards a much better financial reality too.
It is all in the mind.
Conclusion
In my early 30s, just before I met my partner and before I jumped into the rabbit hole, I felt lost, bored, and didn’t see sense in life.
Today, I know that I am responsible for giving meaning to my life. I’ve found enjoyment, fun, adventure, and, best of all, I have a family that loves me and whom I love. I couldn’t be happier.
We are all connected, and we all want to be free and have fun in a peaceful beautiful world. I think this all is possible, but the answers that we seek and the knowledge that is needed for that lie within all of us. We just need to connect our antennas back to the source. It is all there. Energy cannot be destroyed, just transformed. Death is not the one that we should be afraid of.
We should be afraid to stop living long before we die.
Our spirits won’t die when we leave the human suit. Remember, energy cannot be destroyed. Entropy.
Human beings are wonderful spiritual beings. We just got a bit lost.
