WRITING PROMPTS | CREATIVE WRITING | ONE-WORD PROMPTS
August Word-A-Day 2023
Your monthly dose of writing inspiration

Okay, kids. I promised I’d have a post up for our Word-A-Day prompts and I’m not one to break a promise…usually. And I’m not going to lie, this month’s list is literally just a bunch of random words off the top of my head. Sometimes, we get the best stuff from random things.
I can’t believe it’s already the first of August. Seems like we were talking about the cold and snow a few days ago and here it is, the end of summer already. I’m okay with it though. I prefer Autumn. I’m a hoodies and bonfires kinda girl.
Anyway, I hope you all find something within these words to get you writing and finding new ideas to play with. I’m not sure where else I’m going to go with the writing prompts, but I will have some news in the next few days.
Have fun and get creative. I dare ya. I double-dog dare ya.

Okay, kids. Now get out there and show ’em what you’re made of. I can’t wait to see where you all take these ideas.
Remember, if you publish something from one of our prompts, be sure to tag me (@sapheyerblu) and leave a link to this post, so others can come play too. And if you’re looking for a place to publish your work, check out our sister site, Amusing Responses. We accept responses to writing prompts from all around the platform. All we ask is that you link back to the original post and tag the prompt creator. Also, please use one of the following tags: “Fiction”, “Poetry”, or “Creative Nonfiction”. That way, your work will end up in the right category.
Whatever else you do, just remember to have fun. Let your creative side run wild and push yourself into things you didn’t think you could do.
Until next time, Happy Writing!!!
